Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is a American author, singer and actor best known for playing Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s she began her acting career on stage with Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. Then she appeared in a number of Broadway shows before becoming an international star with Li'l Abner in 1957. Her first music album It's Time for Tina in the same year. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood playing Griselda Walden, a character from God's Small Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The film received a lot of praise as well as Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. During this time she began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and formed a connection with Lee Strasberg as his student. Louise joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour was able to play between Broadway as well as Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character against her famous image as a glamorous doll.
