Lindsey Vonn, an American athlete born on the 18th of October 1984, was awarded the gold medal in the 2010 Winter Olympics in the downhill ski race. She has the second-highest super score of any skier male or female. She's one of the top skiers in the world and is also the most liked American skier. Lindsey American World Cup alpine ski racer Caroline Vonn also known as Lindsey Vonn competes for the US Ski Team. She was the winner of four World Cups. She has an extensive and prestigious tradition of success in American sport. She is only one of six women to have won in each event on the World Cup circuit. The American has won 82 World Cup titles in all. A world-class skier and one of the most experienced ski racers, she has made the decision to quit after the World Championships which are taking place in Sweden. She retired after a long list of illnesses. Her retirement was announced via social media. The World Championships for Downhill and SG in Re Sweden will mark my final races for Re Sweden.
